Something to think about for next season's playoffs
Alex has changed my mind on the cash part. Sure, one could make the argument that hockey league is cash poor and really lacking in liquidity. But at the same time, it gives those who have saved their cash an advantage and gives teams in the bottom half an extra chance to improve.
So I think I'm on board with we just vote on whether or not to end the season earlier on Sun Apr 5 and that's it.
But before we vote, does anyone still feel strongly that teams should have a chance to pick up extra cash to compensate for losing the 1 week match up?
I'm with Ted as a no to this, even as someone who got jobbed in the finals a few years ago thanks to the Avs resting players (and still would've won if Keith Kincaid hadn't gotten injured; yep, STILL not over that one).
If we really wanted to cut out a week early, just cut the playoffs and give the title to our President's Trophy equivalent.

Now that our season is officially ending earlier on Sun Apr 5, does anyone want to vote on whether or not there's an opportunity for teams to get extra cash to make up for the fact that we're losing 1 weekly matchup? Like one week at the end of the season, the cash is double? Or each team gets an extra $3 in end of season money?
I recently said that I've changed my mind on this but was wondering if there were at least a few teams that wanted to put this to a vote?

Not for season end but what about something tied into Olympics this year for cash prizes since we do not have an ASG.
Top scorer and outstanding player? I believe Olympics gives out some kind of individual award.
Yeah we always give out cash prizes for All Star Game. Olympics is different, so how about this?
$5 for the #1 scorer in points. $3 for the #2 and #3 scorer.
And $5 for the top goalie in save %. $3 for the #2 goalie in save %.
That's $19 in cash prizes right there.
I think for All Star week, we give out at least $20. Because we give out $3 per All Star Challenge win. And there's usually at least 5 of them, probably more I think. Plus $5 for All Star MVP.

Because of a lack of support, with our season ending earlier, there will be no extra season ending cash or opportunity to win more cash. Things will stay the same
