Something to think about for next season's playoffs
Not sure how you guys feel about this, but I noticed a big uptick this past week in the amount of players on playoff teams that were sitting out and resting. It was getting ridiculous trying to follow which players are sitting out, which are playing. And running out of IR+ spots for them. Strategically, it's like a benefit if you have players on bad teams that don't make the playoffs lol. But what I'm thinking, and we can talk more about this in August, is what if we have our playoffs end 1 week before NHL regular season ends? There's a way to adjust it in Yahoo to where our playoffs could've ended say Sun Apr 13 or even as early as Sun Apr 6. This resting of players didn't affect our final as Ted won by a good margin, but it'd be a shame in future seasons if a final was determined based on let's say 5 or 6 of your players sitting out and resting on the final day of the season. I think it'd be better to end earlier. Curious to see what others think though

I am in favour of ending early. We can debate who this affected more but it did make a difference. See you all in August!
definitely worth thinking about it. Or maybe it's possible to do a double week? This year was essentially a double week. It was a challenge managing who was in or out and i know we both lost guys on various days. Or even just goalies had work scaled back in some cases. That said, I do really like it being the last week (or weeks) because of the intensity surrounding all of the sport and having to manage and make critical decisions. I might be in the minority but to me that makes it more fun (or maddening when you make the wrong moves like missing a Greaves shutout). Actually having to manage and not just simply set a lineup for the week brings in another aspect to it. So definitely some pros and cons either way
