New Rule Change Proposal
So yes, I realize we're passed rule change proposals.
But I wanted to post this anyway because every year I forget.
What I'm thinking is if everyone is on board with this and it's unanimous, then we officially make the rule change.
But if even one team opposes it, then it gets shut down until next preseason.
I propose we create a DFA rule.
Which means when a player gets dropped in Yahoo or if someone posts that a protected prospect becomes unprotected, the team that's doing that still has 24 hours to trade that player that was dropped or trade that prospect as a protected prospect if they want.
It won't impact waivers because this rule would be 24 hours and waivers is longer than that. If the player gets traded, the player gets pulled out of waivers. But if the 24 hours passes, then the player stays in waivers.
The point of the rule change is all the time, there's situations where a player gets dropped or unprotected and another team goes ugh, why didn't you ask me if I wanted this player.

For simplicity, can we create a pinned/mega thread so we can track all DFA across the league?
I don't think it's necessary to create a thread for DFA. Yahoo time stamps when a player is dropped. So we can keep track of the 24 hours that way. And if a team unprotects a prospect, the message board time stamps too.
Ok, besides everyone whos posted here, I've received yes votes from every other team in the league. It's unanimous and this new rule is official, immediately.
And to be clear, the new rule is that any player that is dropped in Yahoo or any protected prospect that becomes unprotected, there's now a 24 hour window to trade the player if desired. And to also reprotect the prospect and trade him to a different team.
what do you mean reprotect? If you drop a prospect and add a new one, what happens?
