Organization Changes
Colorado Avalanche is now San Jose Sharks. Avs was eligible for a 5 year switch so his team gets immediate access to San Jose prospects.
Montreal Canadiens is now Calgary Flames. Canadiens was not eligible for a 5 year switch so his team will not be eligible to protect Calgary prospects until next season, unless using prospect picks in prospect draft. And 0 prospect changes for Flames.
We have a wrinkle! Im on vacation in Vegas this week. Got an email from John C last night but assumed it was John M. The lists were similar.
So Avs wanted Sharks. That's done.
John M's list was 1) Flames, 2) Sharks, 3) Blues
John C's list was 1) Sharks, 2) Flames, 3) Capitals
So being that Flames was 1st on John M's list, John M's org still becomes Flames.
And Utah Hockey Club now becomes Washington Capitals. And John C will not gain free access to Caps prospects until next season and thus zero prospect changes this season.
