Don’t usually do this with guys I don’t want to root for, but… flyers select Carter Hart. Yuck…but need a goalie bad. Send to NIY.
As someone whose Baseball season tanked with the awful mojo of Marcel Ozuna I would advise against this.

Ted makes a good point. Can we pick Dillon Dube or any of the other Canadian hockey guys? None of them are affiliated with NHL teams so would this mean I can draft Gavin McKenna?
Tbh I wasn’t gonna draft him out of moral reasons but then the goalie pool was dry and my moral compass was low today after getting my ass handed in all my baseball and football leagues haha. But Very fair point that I didn’t think of. Figured with NIY it was fair game where he was reinstated into the NHL (mckenna wouldn’t be quite the same), but didn’t consider he hasn't been signed by a team yet. I certainlyyyy don’t want to rock the boat on this and have it be unfair to anyone, so I’m completely open to whatever everyone decides is fair e.g not allowed to pick him etc.

Ok here's what we're doing on the Hart pick. It's tricky because technically teams can use FA picks to select players not in Yahoo. We do this all the time in the prospect draft, like when Ducks selected Hampton Slukynsky. But the main issue that came up was that there wasn't any clarity of whether Hart or the other suspended players were available or when or how they would be available and at least 2 other teams said they probably would've picked Hart before 3.4. So I think the fairest thing to do here is make Hart and the other suspended players NOT available for FA draft.
They will be available when Yahoo adds them to the website and they go through the waiver process. So if anybody wants to put in a waiver claim, they can. Interested teams will just have to keep an eye out for when Yahoo does add them.
