Discussion: Change to Playoff Reseeding
I would like to discuss changing the playoff format to reseed after the first round. I have found it annoying the last few years finishing 1st in the regular season and earning a bye for the first round to then play the 4th or 5th place team in the second round while the 2nd place team plays the 6th after an upset of the 3rd place team. There is no other benefit for finishing at the top during the regular season as playoff ties are resolved by regular season matchup.
I agree with this if it’s possible. We may not be able to adjust the way Yahoo sets it up.
And lord willing some day the NHL goes back to the 1-8 format with reseeding and stops rendering the regular season pointless.
Reseeding can be done in Yahoo the way Dave is suggesting it. Anyone else want to put this up for a vote?
